London Central Wins Award

London Central’s Peckham Garage has won ‘London Bus Garage of the Year’ at the Bus Industry Awards 2003.

Peckham Garage won the award for being the garage that offers the best quality of service to the travelling public and which, in the opinion of the judges, has the best practice and policies in place to sustain this level of service.

The award was presented by Christopher Garnett, Chief Executive of GNER, at the London Hilton on 5 November. This particular award was open to all bus garages operating 25 vehicles or more on contract to London Bus Services Ltd.

David Brown, Go-Ahead Chief Executive London, said, “We are delighted that Peckham Garage has won the ‘London Bus Garage of the Year’ award. This is a tribute to all the staff for their hard work and commitment to London’s travelling public”.
